Raise The Minimum Wage But Only If The Rich Get Tax Breaks

The GOP is considering raising the minimum wage but they have tacked it onto a bill that would give tax breaks to more than 7,500 of the richest families. This week many have talked about national poverty in the US and it’s hard for someone to fix their finances and not go into debt when they are living paycheck to paycheck.

Some people are thrust into debt simply because they became sick and lost a day of work because many do not even receive 1 paid sick day. Add to that if they are really ill and need to go to the ER they are now in debt because you can rack up $400 or more in medical bills just stepping foot in the hospital.

Many are going to be in debt and stay there as long as people do not get paid fair wages and recieve no type of medical care.
